Below is an schedule for the JUNE 28 event of how our competition will attempt to flow. Most teams set up their smoker/stations the night before when we have a midnight start time.

Day of event

  • 12:00 AM - Teams begin (yes, this is midnight)

    • This is where the trimming, binding, rubbing, and all your steps begin

  • 2:00 PM - Event opens to spectators

  • 2:15 PM - First Announcement and welcome

  • 2:45 PM - 1st Judged Entry Turn In - Ribs

  • 3:00 PM - 1st Judged Entry Winner Announced - Ribs

  • 3:30 PM - 2nd Judged Entry Turn In - Chicken Lollipops

  • 3:45 PM - 2nd Judged Entry Winner Announced - Chicken Lollipops

  • 4:00 PM - Announcements and Reminder to Vote on Peoples Choice

  • 4:45 PM - Peoples Choice Votes Pulled/Tallied

  • 5:00 PM - Final Announcements and prizes

    • 1. Thank you and sponsor announcements

    • 2. Peoples Choice winner announced

    • 3. Overall winning team announced

  • 5:30 PM - Cleanup

  • all teams cook on site

  • meat selection of bulk purchase of meat is made in the order in which the team paid

    • a bulk purchase is made for all teams

  • Judging rules are provided per competition (taste, appearance, etc)

  • Team entry fee must be made by the deadline

  • outside meat is not permitted

  • teams must clean up after the competition

  • teams will be responsible for their own peoples choice serving containers

  • containers for judged meats will be provided
